George, Peter, Sr.
Peter George was a member of the Western Pequot community at the Mashantucket reservation in North Groton (now Ledyard), Connecticut. In 1796, his name appears on a register of seamen out of New London. Tow years later, he married Poll Apes on December 27, 1798 in Preston, Connecticut. The couple had at least two children, Peter and Peleg.
